Product Description
These is a fully-adjustable 2-stage controller designed for serious yet budget conscious users.
The first stage is slow heating to an intermediate temperature t1 - the ramp rate is adjustable in the range 20 to 240°C/hour in 20°C/hour steps. The second stage is heating at full power to the top temperature t2. The controller dwells for a soak period at t2 then turns heating power off for natural cooling. Both t1 & t2 are user-settable in the range 0 to 1310°C. The soak period is user-settable from zero to 99 hrs. 59 mins.
Firing SequenceSetting
Pressing the SET key causes the display to prompt the user for ramp rate for the initial ramp up to t1.
Pressing the SET key again enables adjustment of temperature t1 in the range 0 to 1310°C.
Pressing the SET key again enables adjustment of the soak temperature t2 in the range 0 to 1310°C.
Another press of the SET key causes the display to prompt for the soak period - this can be set in the range 00:00 to 99hrs:59mins.
Another press of the SET key causes the display to prompt for the start delay - this can be set in the range 00:00 (immediate start) to 99hrs:59mins.
A final press of the SET key returns the instrument to READY mode.
Running
The RUN/HALT key is used to run the firing sequence. This key can also be used to halt the firing at any time. The status of the firing is shown on the display
Additional DisplaysDuring firing additional status information is displayed. This information is sequenced on the top line of the display once per minute or when the right-arrow key is pressed. It acts as a user confidence check of what program is running & how far the program has progressed. Some typical displays are shown below:-
